Eunice Bierdryski Bartell née Gibson had a rich and varied professional career. In the 1940s she became Prima Ballerina with the Anglo-Polish Ballet, where she met and married a young Polish dancer Leon Bierdryski. They both became members of Madame Legat’s own Ballet Legat when it was formed in 1952, with Eunice as Prima Ballerina. Later, they toured the world dancing together as Leon and Eunice Bartell.
